Orange Wave Band Spring Schedule!

Happy New Year from the Rockwall High School Band Hall. All the teachers and band directors reported back to work yesterday, and we’re all so excited about seeing you on Thursday.

This is our Spring Schedule (or at least most of it.) Please mark your calendars and plan out in advance of performances, section rehearsals and other events. While the Orange Wave Concert Bands are not as busy as the marching band in the fall, we still have many very important events. Careful planning will help us all avoid unnecessary conflicts. Let’s keep working together for a great concert season.

Important Dates:
*    January 7th – 10:00 AM till 1:00 PM — TMEA Area Auditions (for area contestants only) Berkner High School
*    January 19th – 4:00 till 10:00 PM — TMEA All Region Band Clinic (all region band members only) Richardson High School Cluster
*    January 20th – all day clinic and evening concert– TMEA All Region Clinic and Concert (All region band members only) Richardson Pearce High School
*    February 4th — 8:00 AM till 4:00 PM — UIL Solo and Ensemble (all band members) Mesquite High School
*    February 21st — 4:00 till 7:30 PM — Side-by-side concert with Williams Middle School (wind ensemble members only) at RHS PAC
*    February 23rd — 4:00 till 7:30 PM — Side-by-side concert with Utley Middle School (wind ensemble members only) at RHS PAC
*    March 1st thru 4th  – Band Spring Trip
*    March 12th — 16th — Spring Break
*    March 27th — Time TBA – Pre UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest (all bands) at RHHS PAC
*    April 19th and 20th — Time TBA – UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest (all bands) at RHHS PAC
*    May 3rd — 7:00 PM — RHS Spring Band Concert (all bands) RHS PAC
*    May 18th — 7:00 PM — RHS Jazz Band Concert (jazz bands only)
*    May 21st thru 24th — Drum Major, Section Leader, Color Guard try outs
*    May 25th — 7:00 PM — Band Banquet
